And, just like that we are almost done with two months of 2023! They say time flies by when you are doing what you love, especially when you are watching some pretty epic shows and movies. Barbie
When behind-the-scenes images of Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken hit the socials last year, everyone (including us!) went crazy about the lewks. Think shiny blonde hair, pink outfits and a very chiselled Ryan Gosling. So, it comes as no surprise that the Barbie movie will be the first on our to-watch list. The movie will follow Barbie as she sets off to the human world to find true happiness, after being expelled from Barbieland for being less than a perfect-looking doll.

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you must’ve heard of or fallen in love with The Bridgerton series ever since its release in 2020. Screenwriter Shonda Rhimes decides to take us deeper into the regency drama with Queen Charlotte, a prequel spin-off limited series. Spread across six episodes, it will follow the young monarch’s rise to prominence and power. And, if you, like us, watch the show for its hot male leads, wait till you set your eyes on young King George π

The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2
Whether you are #TeamJeremiah or #TeamConrad, you have to admit Belly is one lucky girl to spend every summer with the Fisher boys at Cousins Beach. With Season 2 shot and wrapped, we are expecting the new episodes to roll out pretty soon. Is Sussanah’s treatment trial going to work? Are Belly and Conrad going to start dating? Are Steven and Shayla going to stay together? We have so many questions after the end of season 1 and can’t wait on what is in store for the trio next summer (!!)

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
Cue the Mocking Jay whistle because The Hunger Games is coming back to the silver screen. Seven years after the last movie was released, Panem city and the 13 districts are brought back to life in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes which shows Coriolanus Snow as an 18-year-old before he becomes the tyrannical president. He will be seen mentoring Lucy Gray, the female tribute from District 12.

Never Have I Ever Season 4
Welcome back to the fourth and final instalment of one of our favourite high school dramas, Never Have I Ever. You’ll see Devi and her besties Eleanor, Fabiola and Anessa tackle the highs and lows of Sherman Oaks one last time before we say farewell to this Mindy Kailing-produced masterpiece. Get ready to dive into the Ben-Devi-Paxton love triangle to discover who Devi ends up with finally or whether she chooses neither of the two. We can’t wait!

The Witcher Season 3
In case you haven’t watched the first two seasons of The Witcher, the fantasy drama series is based on the book series by writer Andrzej Sapkowski. It focuses on the witcher Geralt, crown princess Ciri and the sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg as they uncover their destinies in a medieval-inspired landmass named the Continent. Expect dragons, showstopping CGI and gripping fights. But, the bad news is that Henry Cavill, who plays the Geralt of Riveria has recently quit the show making season 3 the last one he will be starring in, Liam Hemsworth will be replacing him from season 4.

Masameer County

After the very successful and hit season 1 of Masameer County, fans including ourselves cannot wait for the next instalment. The animated series which took Saudi Arabia by storm is marking the return of the same mischievous and beloved characters as they get up to all kinds of wild escapades. In season 2 you can expect everything from a daring 24-hour mission to an out-of-control rocket launch.

London Class

Another Arabic series on our shows and movies list is London Class. In this coming-of-age genre, the series shows a group of students travelling to London through diverse stories. The show is currently under production and is directed by Mohamad Bakir with Wesam Hanna, Nahed El Sebai, Layla Abdullah, Luluwa Al Mulla, Nasser Al Dosary, and Rawan Mahdi as stars.

Kaboos
Set in the Middle East, this thriller series tells Arab folklore in a modern way. It will take you on a journey of frightening legends from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt. The five stand-alone episodes cover a variety of genres from regional mythology to supernatural and classic horror stories.

Dubai Bling

Last but not least on our upcoming shows and movies list is the much-awaited Dubai Bling season 2. On the previous season, self-made wealthy individuals Kris Fade, Lojain Omran, Farhana Bodi and Safa Siddiqui were seen living it big in Dubai. In the latest news, Mona Khattan will be joining the squad for the second instalment.
