After four successful seasons of Love Is Blind, Nick and Vanessa Lachey might be replaced for the upcoming iterations of the show. The pair also hosts the Netflix reality show The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On and have been TV #couplegoals over the years. However, more recently things have not been looking so good on their career front, with their own marriage going through a rough patch.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Nick Lachey was ordered to attend anger management classes and AA meetings after a heated episode with a photographer in March 2022. In a conversation with Love Is Blind cast member Kwame Appiah during the live reunion, he said that sleeping on the couch “still happens” in married life and Vanessa’s tell-all look, we think there might be trouble in paradise.
Fans of the hit reality TV show have also accused the couple of “personal bias” when asking questions to the participants during the infamous reunion. Their inappropriate interrogation and disrespectful comments about having kids led to a serious backlash online which doesn’t seem to die down even after Vanessa apologised with flowers to Paul Peden.

Today, the change.org petition to remove Nick and Vanessa Lachey as the hosts of Love Is Blind has reached 42,155 signatures with a few more thousands to go before it reaches the 50,000 target. The platform also displays comments of the people who support the stand, below are a few.
“Vanessa is unhinged. Every reunion show gets worse and worse! I have never been so uncomfortable watching a reunion in my life! I will not be supporting the next season if they remain hosts, ” says Casilya Smith.
“Terrible biased hosts that take away enjoyment from watching the shows, ” says Ivanka Damceska.
Another comment from Nonz I read, “I agree with the fact that the hosts are now making the show very difficult and uncomfortable to watch. Vanessa has a terrible habit of being condescending towards people that were wronged on the show and showing more grace to bullies,”.
But, who would replace Nick and Vanessa on the show?

All of this social media frenzy has led to the downfall of the couple and as per a Page 6 article, Love Is Blind season 1 couple, Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton are already in talks to replace the Lacheys on the show.
“There’s always been whispers about replacing them, especially now after the live reunion special, which was a complete disaster on so many levels,” a show insider told DailyMail.com on Tuesday. They added, “Viewers feel a connection with Lauren and Cameron because they are the real deal. They are down-to-earth, kind people who can actually help the contestants because they have walked in their shoes. People want to relate to the hosts — and at this point they can’t relate to Vanessa or Nick”.

Even if Lauren and Cameron do take over Love Is Blind as hosts, it might take a few years before we see them on our screens. As per this ScreenRant article, casting has already started for seasons 5 and 6 and shooting might already have started.
With these tough circumstances, the Lacheys need to make some moves to stay in the game.
