The second instalment of the dystopian fantasy movie franchise, Dune, is almost here.
After the huge success of the first instalment, which secured six Oscars at the 94th Academy Awards ceremony, Dune: Part Two is set to premiere from the end of February.
As part of the film was filmed in Abu Dhabi’s Liwa desert, there will be a regional premiere for the film in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, February 18 at Vox Cinemas at The Galleria, Al-Maryah Island.
The movie puts the Middle Eastern region and its stunning landscapes front and centre. As to whether the stars of the movie will be in attendance during the premiere…that’s yet to be confirmed! Keep an eye out as we’ll bring you all latest the info!
When will Dune: Part Two be released in the UAE?
The official movie release date is set for February 29, 2024 in the UAE and Lebanon and will be released on April 11, 2024 in other parts of the region.

What is Dune: Part Two about?
Filming for the sequel took place on location in Budapest, Abu Dhabi, Jordan and Italy and, judging by the trailer, we’re in for a wild ride. The sequel follows Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet), Chani (Zendaya), and the Fremen as they fight to take back their land before it’s too late. Expect everything from a Timothee and Zendaya romance to a nightmarish egg-head Austin Butler (yes, really), Dune: Part Two is expected to be the biggest sci-fi movie of 2024.
Who’s in the new Dune: Part Two movie cast?
Although much of the original cast will return for the second movie, we’ll be seeing a lot of new faces too. Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya will reprise their leading roles as Paul Atreides and Chani. We’ll also see some of our fave other actors of the moment, Florence Pugh and Austin Butler, stepping onto the dunes.
Other members of the cast include Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, Dave Bautista as Count Glossu Rabban and Christopher Walken ar Emperor Shaddam IV Corrino.
