It has been a whole two decades (!!) since Pandora launched its iconic Pandora Moments bracelet and the brand is celebrating 20 years of charm collecting with Voices of Pandora, an international activation where consumers, fans and pandora Muses can talk about the meaningful charms that represent their memorable moments.
“Charms can capture the magic and nostalgia of a first-time experience,” says artist Tasya van Ree, who recalls activities that fuelled her creativity, such as doodling and getting her first tattoo. Model and activist Halima Aden looks back on her own memorable firsts, from winning a gold medal for a grade school speech to becoming her town’s first Muslim homecoming queen, “I collect charms that symbolise important moments on my journey”.

Model, dancer and actress Larsen Thompson’s music note and ballerina shoes charms honour her passion for dance and music, “collecting charms reminds us of who we are and what we’re passionate about”. This is truly the essence of Pandora; being able to show who you are through your jewellery and giving women an outlet to express their personality whilst drippin’ in jewellery (win win!).

Director, writer and consultant Margaret Zhang’s Statue of Liberty charm holds special meaning for her, “it represents the city where I learned to work hard and absorb others’ world views”. Actress Nathalie Emmanuel also shares this love of holding a memory close to you with a charm, “I like to collect things that remind me of a place, a feeling, or a time in life”, she says. Pandora really do have a charm for every occasion, whether it’s showing your activism against marine pollution with the turtle charm, or remembering an exciting trip with the backpack or passport charms, you can always hold your special memories extra close to you.
