H&M has revealed it is collaborating with an Arab designer for its new collection. Sandra Mansour is the FIRST Arab designer to work with the brand in their historical line-up of designer collabs.

Designing a collection that presents nature projected by The Sun & Sunflowers to fit into an aesthetic that combines class, modernity, romance, and apprehensive, and will be avaliable in stores by 6 August.

The Lebanese designer’s collection, Fleur De Soleil, is said that it’s inspired by hope and light in these strange times. Neutral coloured fabrics were used to fit into both day and night, which was always a feature that H&M brings to its customers.

“The inspiration for the H&M collaboration was nature and natural elements. Especially the sunflower, which represents the cycle of life, and its dependency on sun and light. Poetry and painters inspired the selection of fabric – the dark laces, jacquards, and embroidered organza. With the Fleur du Soleil collection, I want to talk to women around the world by sending a message of hope, something we really need right now,” says Sandra Mansour, CEO, and designer.

Previously, H&M collaborated with Giambattista Valli, modeled by Kendall Jenner last year, which she dressed at the amfAR Gala in hot pink.

Throughout the years, H&M collaborated with different designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Roberto Cavalli, Versace, etc. AND Today marks the first collaboration with an Arab, Lebanese designer, Sandra Mansour.

We are excitedly waiting for the collection to be in stores!
