Back in 2016, French shoe and accessory designer Isabelle Ye had an idea. “Why not reinvent the legendary image of the Parisienne through shoes that are bright, playful, fun and colourful?” A few sketches and a collection later and Bons Baisers de Paname was born. Founder Isabelle learned her craft at brands such as Balenciaga and Maje, and now her collections are all designed in her design studio in the third arrondissement in Paris.
Bons Baisers de Paname trainer are sweetly described as being “created to be worn in the same way that you would write a postcard – instinctively, with a smile, thinking about all the things you really love”. The Bons Baisers de Paname trainers are just that too, a combination of everything that we all love. There’s shimmer, there’s sparkle, there’s animal print and there’s every colour you could ever desire. The trainers are subtly finished with the super cute red lips which are emblematic of the brand, in a ‘declaration of love’.
The trainers are a stand out collection with a website full of pages of both lace-up and Velcro sneakers all finished with different colours, texts and illustrations. They even have a Barbie collaboration collection of trainers. Yes, Barbie!
