There’s no official message from authorities telling people to not get behind the wheel, but the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has taken to social media this week to ask private sector companies to apply flexible work patterns until further notice.
The post reads: “MoHRE reiterates the importance of taking precautions in outdoor work environments where it is difficult to suspend operations, urging employers to ensure workers’ health and safety during their commute to and from these sites and that occupational health and safety requirements are met.”

According to a rain support document circulating, Ittihad Park to the First Industrial Street intersection is closed on the main Sharjah road.
Is Abdul Aziz Street open today?
The route is closed from the Mosque to KM Trading, making it best to avoid.
Which roads are open in Sharjah after the storm?

Buhaira Corniche is open and fully accessible from Crystal Plaza through Majaz Waterfront, until Flag Island Bridge. Just note that it’s slow moving with only one lane open.
