Believe it or not, the inspo behind this MDLBeast-owned festival wear brand came from cold weather. DJ Baloo aka MdlBeast’s Chief Creative Officer Ahmad Alammary, tells Cosmo ME that “Bani Beast is inspired from the first Soundstorm festival when it was really cold and we saw the local Saudi “farwa” being worn by everyone at the festival. This is a quintessentially Saudi garment that became an essential part of Soundstorm’s unique festival identity, so we wanted to elevate that to a whole new level. We looked to create something that is designed and is inspired by local wear, but with a twist that makes it just as wearable in New York, as it is in Riyadh.”
