Dubai’s beauty scene just gained its most powerful permanent resident – and our faces are very excited about it. For 16 years, Rosie Osborne has been the secret behind the flawless skin of editors, philanthropists, and A-listers like Sienna Miller and Zoë Kravitz. Now, the international facialist calls the Emirate home, with an exclusive residency at Mandarin Oriental, Dubai – the hotel’s first-ever partnership with a skin specialist – alongside a position at the uber-luxe Valiant Clinic
While trends come and go, Osborne’s philosophy is built to last: strong skin over strong treatments. Her signature ‘Rosie Glow’ is powered by medical aesthetics, cutting-edge tech, and the kind of precise, intuitive touch that comes from treating thousands of faces. Sold.
So, what’s the real secret to A-list skin? She reveals the one viral ingredient that’s all hype, the non-negotiable products in her own cabinet, and the treatments she believes can transform any skin. Listen in.

CosmoME: What made you choose to be a facialist, and what’s the most unexpected lesson you’ve learned?
Rosie: I didn’t choose being a facialist just because I was obsessed with skincare products; it came from being obsessed with people. I’ve always loved making people feel good, and skin became the most powerful way for me to do that. Skin reflects so much more than what we see on the surface, because it responds to stress, lifestyle, hormones, travel, sleep, emotions… My career has also evolved very naturally as techniques and technology have evolved. I’ve never believed in forcing trends or chasing what’s new just for the sake of it. Our understanding of skin health has become clearer – from barrier function to inflammation, regeneration, and longevity – and my approach has adapted alongside it. So for me it’s such an exciting time to be in this space, as it’s only going to become more advanced as the years go on.
The most unexpected lesson I’ve learned is how closely the skin mirrors how someone is living. Early on, I believed results were driven by stronger treatments and more intervention. Experience taught me that the body needs to feel supported before the skin can change. This is why I like to position myself within medical and advanced settings so that if I meet a client whose skin is presenting a complex concern such as chronic inflammation or cystic acne, we can really get to the bottom of the issue and treat the cause and not just the symptom.
CosmoME: What’s the biggest misconception clients walk in with?
Rosie: That stronger treatments mean better results. A lot of my clients have tried everything and what works best is doing the right treatments on strong skin.
CosmoME: Share a career “pinch-me” moment
Rosie: It’s honestly hard to pinpoint just one. I’ve been flown all over the world to treat clients privately in their homes, and I’ve had the privilege of working with some incredible women, performing facials for Sienna Miller while she was filming in Dubai, having Zoë Kravitz as a regular client in London, and more recently welcoming Jessie J, which I absolutely loved.
That said, securing my Mandarin Oriental residency was a real pinch-me moment. It felt like recognition for years of hard work, consistency, and dedication to building my reputation, especially with high-profile and international clients.
CosmoME: What’s your ultimate “holy grail” treatment?
Rosie: Hands down, radiofrequency combined with targeted ultrasound, especially the BTL Exion platform. I love this technology because it’s instantly sculpting, lifting, and deeply hydrating, with absolutely no downtime. It’s a key element of my signature treatment, The Rosie Glow, because it genuinely does what it says. It gives my clients that lifted, healthy glow I’m known for. It’s also something I regularly do on myself.
CosmoME: What’s one trend you’d never spend your dirhams on?
Rosie: Anything that goes viral overnight without a real track record. Skin loves consistency and evidence, not hype. A big one for me is the topical PDRN serum craze. PDRN is a large DNA fragment, which means it doesn’t penetrate the skin barrier when applied topically. It won’t reach the fibroblasts or act as a true regenerative ingredient, so you’re not getting the results people are promising.
Other viral trends I don’t buy into include aggressive exfoliating toners used daily and random “miracle” serums pushed on social media without clinical backing. If you’re going to invest, invest in science-backed ranges like ZO Skin Health, or use DNA based ingredients in a professional treatment, where they can actually work.
CosmoME: Name 3 non-negotiable products in your bag right now
Rosie: 1) ZO Skin Health’s peptide concentrate. It helps build healthy skin from the inside. I use it morning and night.
2) An oil-free tinted SPF like Heliocare, which I wear instead of foundation because it protects my skin without causing congestion. I even wear it in the evening if I’m out, because I hate the feeling of heavy makeup.
3) 111Skin’s Y-Theorem sheet mask. I use this weekly as a powerful way to strengthen and support my skin barrier.

CosmoME: Spill: What’s your personal skincare splurge and save?
Rosie: Splurge on professional treatments, as that’s where real change happens. Recently, I’ve been adding Anteage biosomes exosomes into my own treatments and the difference is really noticeable. Exosomes aren’t new, but we’re hearing more about them now. They act as carrier messengers, helping deliver growth factors and signals into the skin cell membrane to support regeneration.
Save on trending products. You won’t see me buying the latest TikTok serum, collagen gummies, or overnight “miracle” creams. If it doesn’t have solid science or clinical backing, I’m not interested.
CosmoME: If you could ban one beauty myth on social media, what would it be?
Rosie: If there’s one trend I’d happily ban, it’s the habit of taking well-established treatments or skin concerns and simply renaming them to sound new ‘buzzy’.
It’s often just clever marketing, not innovation. Skin doesn’t work on trends, biology doesn’t change because a name does. A lot of people fall into the trap of thinking they need the latest label, but when people understand their skin, they make better choices. When they aren’t educated, they chase trends and often end up doing too much.
CosmoME: Beyond the clinic, what’s your go-to way to unwind and recharge?
Rosie: Movement is my second love in life, besides skincare, of course. I love anything that makes me feel strong and mobile, whether that’s strength training, pilates, or simply moving my body consistently.
Early nights are essential when I can manage them. Running multiple businesses and living in Dubai means my mind is always switched on, and the great coffee here doesn’t help! Switching off from my phone before bed is something I’m actively working on, and taking magnesium in the evening has become non-negotiable for me, especially BioActive+ Concentrated Liquid Magnesium, which supports deeper REM sleep and recovery. They also have liquid glutathione, keratin, and collagen in the range – and it tastes great.
CosmoME: What’s the next thing you’re excited about right now?
Rosie: Skin longevity. It’s about keeping skin healthy, resilient, and functioning well long-term, not just chasing quick fixes.
I’m particularly excited about peptides. I’ve been interested in them for years because they act as intelligent signalling molecules, telling the skin cells what to do, whether that’s repairing, strengthening, or rebuilding. We’re now seeing genuinely impressive results using peptide-driven products alone, and when you pair that with professional treatments, the potential is huge. It’s a very exciting time to be in this space.
CosmoME: If you weren’t a facialist, what would you be doing?
Rosie: Honestly, I’d still be in wellness, but probably designing and consulting on spaces. I’ve already been involved in several incredible projects with clients, and I’m lucky that I’ve worked in some of the world’s top locations.
I’m obsessed with how environments can completely shift how you feel and take your mind away from the outside world. There is such a skill in creating a feeling, not just a space.
