Movie stars have been showcasing their movies at the fourth edition of El Gouna Film Festival in Egypt and it has been nothing short of amazing. The annual film festival presents new voices and strives that will become a part of the development of cinema in the Arab world.
Apart from being a multi-talented actor, Zeinab Ghareeb is a no-nonsense feminist, and when Cosmo ME caught up with the Egyptian filmmaker at the El Gouna Film Festival, she spoke to us about the role of women and the power that they hold in the film.
“Women have the strength that lies within her emotions and if she took advantage of it she can achieve, literally, anything and everything,” the Iilaa Ana star says.
Bushra Rozza also commented on developing and supporting more women in the Arab movie industry. She says GFF tries to be inclusive and “bring the spotlight more on issues related to women, whether in front of the camera or behind the scenes.”
