Movie stars have been showcasing their movies at the fourth edition of the The El Gouna Film Festival in Egypt and it has been nothing short of amazing. The annual film festival presents new voices and strives that will become a part of the development of cinema in the Arab world.
On the closing ceremony of this year’s edition, Cosmo ME caught up with the legend that is Bushra Rozza to ask about the highlights of this year’s edition. “The challenging edition,” is the phrase Bushra used to describe this fourth edition.Â
“I love the idea of The Man Who Sold His Skin”, Bushra says when Cosmo ME asks what her favourite movie is in this year’s edition, “It’s about how tough life is for refugees, and I just love how creative the film is.”
The Ouija star describes GFF as an “exceptionally unique festival unlike all other film festivals.” Speaking on how GFF has brough inclusittivity and positive representation of women in the Arab world, Bushra tells Cosmo ME that GFF tries to be inclusive and “bring the spotlight more on issues related to women, whether in from of the camera or behind the scenes.”
“We’re trying to have more panels and campaigns making sure that we have more female film makers attending and having their work express itself through GFF.”
