There’s something about comedy that everyone can relate to. Whether it’s the laughter that lifts the audience’s spirits or the content itself that’s just too damn real, it’s simply one of the best feelings in the world. The point is, when your cheeks are hurting because of how much you’re laughing, all you can think of is that moment and that laughter; nothing else. That’s how Gstaad Guy’s videos make me feel, purely happy. And I am addicted to that feeling.
Born and raised in London, he’s also fluent in three languages: French, Arabic and English. When I tell you he’s just as funny in real life (minus the… well let’s just say he’s nothing like Constance), I genuinely mean it. Not only is his smile wildly contagious, but he kept me on my toes and laughing the entire interview!
“I was in Amman about a year and a half ago FaceTiming a friend of mine. He’s a really nice guy but he’s also really pretentious. He was in Gstaad that winter and was complaining about how his masseuse was late, which just sounds ridiculous. His mum was there and was like “Tell him how ridiculous he is!” So I filmed a video, imitating her son and I sent it to her. She thought it was hilarious and sent it to every mum group chat she was in. It went viral in Gstaad; bear in mind I’d never been to Gstaad at that point. A few days later, my dad received the video.”
“I went on vacation in East Asia for a few weeks with some friends and was completely disconnected from the internet, only to come back to find that people in London recognized me, saying “Oh you’re that Gstaad Guy!” and I thought to myself “Gstaad Guy, I like it.” So I created the account, started posting and here we are.”
His rapid rise on social media is nothing short of impressive, but who exactly are Constance, Colton and Alfrèd?
“Constance is this English elite pompous character and Colton is kind of the American version of that, only he doesn’t know it and he’s far more obnoxious. Alfrèd is Constance’s butler that’s played by one of my best friends. My mum loves Colton and she’s iffy about Constance, my dad is the opposite. A lot of my fan base and followers are the same. There’s a lot of push and pull between the characters, which I think is great.”
The two meter tall comedian *that’s right two. whole. meters.* was raised in a house mainly filled with strong women; his mother and two sisters. So naturally, we just had to know every single detail.
“During my teenage years, I was around women all the time. I think for a young guy growing up, being around women is one of the most important things. If a young man is constantly around other men, it doesn’t really help him grow in the right direction. So much of the reason that I am the way I am today, is because I was raised around these strong women. I’m emotionally aware and self-aware thanks to them. I’m definitely a mama’s boy, I love my mum.” Gstaad Guy tells CosmoME.
We’re not crying. You’re crying.
As if he wasn’t talented enough, he’s also determined to give back to society. Gstaad Guy created a charity challenge called “Push Hop Challenge” as a means to raise money and support the Association of NHS Charities organistation.
“Alfrèd and I were talking about all those crazy challenges that we were seeing on Instagram and decided to come up with one of our own. It was actually Alfrèd who came up with the term “Push Hop”, which is great because “Hop” became my signature move. He then sent me a video of himself doing the challenge. I recorded the testimonial and reached out to some influencer friends of mine who happily agreed to participate.”

Did we forget to mention that he’s friends with some pretty interesting people to say the least…
“At the end of the day, it matters who you surround yourself with. I’m not a social butterfly and my close circle is quite small. My comedy comes from a lot of different places… It can come from my disagreement with certain societal standards to just watching how people behave at a restaurant. I’m a very observant person. I can tell why someone is saying certain things or behaving in a certain way.” he shares.
We should probably end this interview by letting you know that he has a very unique Gstaad Guy themed version of Whitney Houston’s I Will Survive called “Commercial Flight“. We must warn you, it is extremely catchy…
But seriously, you really should be following him.
