Selling Sunset season 5 is here, and we’re head over heels obsessed with Chelsea Lakzani. The London-born real estate agent quickly forms a strong bond with Christine Quinn, while pitching herself as the newest member of The Oppenheim Group to Jason and Mary Fitzgerald.

Chelsea didn’t know any of the other Selling Sunset cast before season five
Joining Christine Quinn, Mary Fitzgerald, Chrishell Stause and the rest of the gang, Chelsea Lazkani is set to be the newest addition to The Oppenheim Group’s realty powerhouse, starring in season 5 alongside her now well-known costars.
The British Nigerian luxury realtor recently told People that while she had never met the other Selling Sunset cast members team before, she was “always familiar” with The Oppenheim Group and “really inspired” by her co-stars.
Interestingly, though, her husband was one of Jason’s previous clients, with the broker showing him around a number of houses years earlier. On the show, she has formed a strong bond with Christine Quinn, but also with her fellow realtors such as Chrishell Stause and Emma Hernan.
Chelsea joined Selling Sunset season 5 as an ‘opportunity’
Chelsea also shared how she had prepared herself for a role on Netflix’s huge real estate show, saying she saw this as an opportunity.
“I think having the support of my husband and my family really essentially prepared me to take on this big role and this big opportunity,” Chelsea told People. “But for me personally, I saw this as an opportunity to really open doors in an industry that has lacked diversity and where minorities are underrated.
“I feel like with great opportunities comes great responsibility. This was kind of my time to give back and to educate and really mentor and push forward Black women in this luxury sector in real estate. So just knowing that I’ve got a greater purpose kind of prepared me for this.”
She’s married with two children and moved to LA from London seven years ago
Lazkani is married to husband Jeff Lazkani, who is Managing Partner at Icon Media Direct. The company website states he is the ‘lead strategic point person for many of Icon’s largest clients.’ The pair married in 2017 and share two very adorable children – Maddox Ali Levon, three, and two-year-old daughter Melia Man.
She opened up about their relationship five years ago in an Instagram post, writing, “Almost 2 years ago I came to Los Angeles for what was meant to be a ‘short break’. I stayed because I fell in love.” She continued, “It was the best decision I’ve ever made.”
Before becoming a realtor in Los Angeles back in 2017 Lazkani actually worked as a business strategist and solar analyst with companies in the oil and gas industry, leaving to get her real estate license five years ago.
If the sheer glamour of her Instagram is anything to go by, she’s the perfect addition to the Selling Sunset family. We can’t wait!
