This morning, it was reported that Nadine Njeim had been injured in the Beirut blast that happened yesterday.
The actress has broken her silence in a hard-to-stomach video and lengthy caption on Instagram that recounts what happened when she got caught up in the explosions.
She wrote, “Firstly praise is to God that he gave me a new life. The explosion was near, and it isn’t like how it is described. The blood and the damages in my house show that we are dead. Praise be to God 1000 times, who gave me the strength to leave my house from the 22nd floor, bare feet, and covered with blood. People were everywhere in blood screaming and crying and streets filled with damaged cars.”
“I stopped a car and said, ‘please help me.’ He was a good guy; he took me to the nearest hospital, but they refused to take me in as it was full of injured people. He then took me to Al-Mashreq hospital, and they took me to surgery for 6 hours because half of my face and body were in blood. What I saw on the floors is hard to describe as if it was really a nuclear bomb. Thank you, God, for protecting me, and thank God my children are fine; they weren’t in the house. I thank God every second. Rest peace to who died and protect who is injured.”
