Remember back in mid-July when *all* of the Kardashians unfollowed Larsa Pippen? Well there was little explanation at the time, but now Larsa has revealed that it involves Kanye and Tristan. We’ve got everything you need to know…
So, who is Larsa Pippen?
46 year old Larsa is originally from Chi-town, where she attended the University of Illinois. She married American basketball player Scottie Pippen in 1997 and they have four children together. They filed for divorce (for a second time) in 2018. She had a short stint on The Real Housewives of Miami and was a regular on Keeping Up With The Kardashians as a friend of Kim and Kourtney.
How did she meet Kim?
So, there is no official story as to how the pair met, but it appears that the first appearance together which was caught by the paps was in 2012. They became friends and then she joined Kim and Kourtney on Kourtney and Kim Take Miami. In a blog post on Kim’s website in 2014 she wrote, “I always call my friend Larsa Pippen for parenting advice!”. Throughout series after series of KUWTK Larsa is often seen hanging out by the pool with Kourtney, or attending an event with Kim. She also attended Kourtney’s Mexican birthday fiesta (and caused some major drama there but that’s a different story).

When did things turn sour?
In mid-July it was reported that all of the Kardashian and Jenners had unfollowed Larsa on Instagram, with Larsa reciprocating the unfollows. Larsa deleted all of the pictures which featured the Kardashians from her ‘gram and posted a story which read “I woke up this morning blessed and see that everybody is focused on who I am following and who I am now following on social media. I am focused on my children, my new fitness brand Larsapippenfitness, and my relationships in real life. Praying that everybody finds peace in their own lives and focus on what brings THEM happiness”.
On the 22nd of July, Kanye tweeted ‘Larsa’ with a thinking emoji face. The tweet was deleted soon after, but made people think that there was more than the drama than the simple ‘grown apart’ theory which Entertainment Tonight reported a source had told them.
A rumour about the nature of her relationship with Tristan also whirled after Jordyn Woods was seen liking a tweet which claimed that Larsa had hooked up with Khloe’s boyfriend Tristan Thompson, which was screenshot by The Shade Room. Yep, pretty complicated. It gets even more complicated as Larsa publicly dragged Jordyn in front of the paparazzi when she was asked whether Kylie should kick Jordyn out of her house amid the Jordyn-Khloe-Tristan drama.
What has Larsa said about the situation?
Larsa initially just posted images with indirect captions such as ‘drama free zone’, but now she’s opened up about what really caused the rift between her and the most famous family on the planet… and wow.
She said that Kanye had felt threatened by her relationship with Kim, and that she had to block his phone number after she was getting harassing calls in the middle of the night. “[Kanye] has literally brainwashed the whole family into thinking I don’t even know what” Larsa said, “I don’t even know. He talks so much about me being this and that and this and that”. “[Kanye] used to call me at four, five and six o’clock in the morning”, she said, “I was the person that would take his calls when he wanted to rant. I would listen to him. I would be like ‘I love you, you’re the best, things will get better’. I was his go-to person to call when he wasn’t happy with X, Y, and Z… Maybe because I blocked him on my phone because I couldn’t bear taking his calls anymore. I can’t, I’m drained. So, I blocked him on my phone. Obviously that really upset him.”
She also addressed claims that she flirted with Travis Scott on a night out, “I ran into Travis Scott one night at a club and Travis called Kylie and said that I was hitting on him. That never happened”.
Finally she addressed the rumours regarding her and Tristan, and… it wasn’t really what anyone was expecting. It turns out, according to Larsa, she was actually seeing Tristan before Khloe, and it was actually her who introduced him to Khloe. “I was seeing him, I had him come to LA”, Larsa said, “I brought him to a party Kim had”. “I introduced him to all of them. Then a week later, or 10 days later, he started seeing Khloe. Which is fine, I don’t even care. It’s whatever. I’m the type of person that doesn’t chase what’s not for me. I will never chase a man; I will never put a leash on a man. I don’t do that. I feel like, let you be great. If you want to be with other people, go ahead. I’m great by myself.”
Has Jordyn commented on the matter?
She sure has… Jordyn woods wrote on twitter “make it make sense” with the thinking emoji in regards to the drama. She has also liked a tweet which said “so she was just projecting her own guilt onto young ass Jordyn. Got it”, seemingly aimed at how Khloe Kardashian treated Jordyn in the aftermath of the drama with Tristan.
