Kanye West (Ye) has been in the middle of multiple controversies for the past few weeks and your feed is most likely filled with every deal Ye is losing. Kanye’s ‘White Lives Matter‘ t-shirt and his subsequent hate speech comments on social media have further led to him being banned on IG and Twitter.
Let’s talk about the brand deals he’s lost up until now
Kanye West has been working with Balenciaga creative director Demna for a long time and the label announced on October 21 that it had cut ties with the rapper over his controversial posts. “Balenciaga has no longer any relationship nor any plans for future projects related to this artist,” Kering said to WWD.

Next up is Gap. Although Ye was the first one to terminate the ten-year contract with Gap in September, Gap Brands President & CEO Mark Breitbard revealed in an email to employees: “While we share a vision of bringing high-quality, trend-forward, utilitarian design to all people through unique omni experiences with Yeezy Gap, how we work together to deliver this vision is not aligned. And we are deciding to wind down the partnership.”
Additionally, Candace Owens – who wore the ‘White Lives Matter‘ t-shirt alongside Kanye – claimed JP Morgan had terminated his contract with “no official reason”.
Earlier today I learned that @kanyewest was officially kicked out of JP Morgan Chase bank. I was told there was no official reason given, but they sent this letter as well to confirm that he has until late November to find another place for the Yeezy empire to bank. pic.twitter.com/FUskokb6fP
