This Disney love triangle drama , with Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter and Joshua Bassett is just never ending – and we love it!

Sabrina Carpenter finally broke her silence about her new song ‘Skin’. She took to Intsagram to tell her fans the meaning behind her new song. 

In her IG caption, Sabrina says that the reason behind her making her new song, was because she “was at a tipping point in my life for countless reasons. so I was inspired to do what i usually do to cope, write something that i wish i could have told myself in the past.” 

So I guess this means that the rumours that fans have come up with (that we are very much invested in – may I add),  may not actually be true!

But if you have no idea what we are talking about, let me catch you up on all the tea. So basically, Olivia Rodrigo came out with a song called ‘Driver’s License’ which literally topped the charts all over the world (she even beat Ariana Grande‘s record)! Fans have theorised that Olivia’s song is about Joshua Bassett, who may or may not have been her bf (we don’t really know, as they never really confirmed nor denied it). But Joshua Bassett is now dating Sabirna Carpenter, and they *lowkey* confirmed their relationship on Tiktok when they dressed up in a couple’s costume for Halloween.

Now that you are all caught up, there’s some more *tea* to be spilled…

Sabrina Carpenter just came out with her new song ‘Skin’ on Thursday and fans are literally coming up with some of the most insane theories! Sabrina says that her song ‘tells her side’ of the story. 

Fans have not only come up with some crazyyy theories, but they have also decoded ‘Skin (just like they decoded ‘Driver’s License’) and here is what they have come up with: 

In ‘Driver’s License‘ Olivia talks about a ‘blonde girl’ who is ‘so much older than me’. And Sabrina is both blonde and older than Olivia (by 4 years). But Sabrina clapped back in her new song with the lyrics ‘maybe blone was the only rhyme.’ A coincedence? I think not.

Sabrina lowkey says that Olivia (without actually referring to her)  ‘can’t get under my skin, if I don’t let you in’. She also says that ‘I’m happy and you hate it, hate it’, basically saying that she is resilient and won’t let anyone destroy her relationship (with Joshua Bassett). 

Sabrina also sings  ‘don’t drive yourself insane’ – get it? Sabrina is lowkey (highkey) referring to ‘Driver’s License,’  with the lyric ‘drive’! 

This whole love triangle saga has fans on Tiktok going insane! They either love Sabrina’s new song, or they just don’t understand why she came out with a song that is pretty much bashing Olivia Rodrigo.

Oh and btw, Joshua Bassett also came out with a new song, literally right after Olivia’s song and before Sabrina’s song. So this just makes things a whole lot more interesting! His new song is called ‘Lie, Lie, Lie’ but we don’t know for sure if it is about Olivia or not.
