Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, or ‘Ash’ as she is called, is regularly described as the most beautiful woman in the world. And this weekend, she looked nothing short of sensational on the Cannes red carpet in a gown by UAE-based designer, Michael Cinco.
The tulle-layered gown, which she wore for her first red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival this year, is from the designer’s Impalpable Dream of Versailles collection. The actress is no stranger to the festival and this is her 16th appearance at Cannes as the brand ambassador for L’Oreal. She was also the first Indian actress to be a part of the jury.
“The dress is inspired from the painting of Infanta Maria Theresa, the wife of the Sun King Louis IV of the Palace of Versailles,” said an ecstatic Cinco to Gulf News Tabloid, of the beautiful actress picking his design.
In fact, Ash’s stylist spotted the gown and got in touch with Cinco, and after a fitting in India, Aishwarya decided to wear it to Cannes. People are saying that this is her best outing on the red carpet yet and we couldn’t be more proud that she’s wearing a stunning creating by Dubai’s very own Michael Cinco.
