Taylor Swift, known for her quirky and goofy sense of humour, has proved herself yet again in the best possible way.

It’s been over a year since Taylor blessed us with her bangin’ bad reputation album that had girl anthems and power songs for days.

Some worthy mentions off the album (which if you haven’t heard yet, srsly what are you doing with your life?) have got to be ‘Look What You Made Me Do’, ‘Delicate’, ‘Call It What You Want’ and ofc the star of this here news story, ‘Getaway Car’.

Bear that in mind and have a listen to Taylor performing this boppy tune. The song’s quite crucial to the hilarious story I’m about to tell you, so pay close attention to the lyrics:

Right, back to the story. So, early on Tuesday morning, police were chasing a stolen car through the Rhode Island streets. Pretty casual, right?.

Wrong. The car chase ended with the driver losing control of the car, hitting a brick wall right in front of Taylor’s house and crashing into her front gate! The good news is the singer wasn’t hurt and reports state that neither was anyone else. We can’t say the same about Taylor’s front gate, though.

Any regular person would’ve been outraged at a random stranger busting their front gate like that, but Taylor isn’t your regular individual. Oh no.

A Swift fan account posted the news of the car crash on their Instagram and Taylor commented the best thing I’ve ever read:

Yep, you best believe that’s how Taylor decided to respond to the serious matter. With the lyrics from her song, ‘Getaway Car’. How epically fitting was that? Now, do you see why I made you listen to the song before?

I didn’t think it was possible to love Taylor more than I do, but she continues to prove me wrong every step of the way and I can’t say I hate it. She’s a beautiful, lyrical genius and her fans had nothing but appreciation for this Taylor gold:

Some fans even joined in the joke and continued adding lyrics from the song:

It’s safe to say that Taylor wins best celeb reaction to a car crash ever and if anyone comes for her sense of humour, please refer them to this article. And that’s the tea, sis.
