Prince George’s Birthday Portrait Is Here And It’s Just About The Cutest Thing Ever

Prince George turns five today, and in celebration Kensington Palace were all, “You know what we should do? Post an adorable photo of George to Instagram to make everyone’s day even better.”

Which brings us to this cuteness:

That smile! The collar on that shirt! It’s too much!

The photo was taken by Matt Porteous, who says “It was a privilege to take this photograph of Prince George, and I am delighted that The Duke and Duchess have chosen to share it. I wish His Royal Highness a very happy fifth birthday.”

Matt is also responsible for taking this gorgeous candid shot of Kate Middleton and Prince Louis during Louis’ recent christening, so clearly he’s a favorite of the royals:

And if you really want to be sleuth-y, you’ll notice that George is wearing the same outfit in his birthday photo that he wore to his little brother’s christening, so it looks like the pictures were taken on the same day:
