Jennifer Cobban is all the fitspo you need! The 46-year-old mum of two joined FitRepublik in January 2015 as an injured dance teacher with little time for exercise outside of work and is now certified fitness professional. Jennifer’s Story

“I joined FitRepublik in January 2015 initially for the Pilates and Yoga classes to complement the strength and flexibility skills required for dance. I was 44 years old when my children left for college. And while I was scared to go to the gym, I firmly decided to retrain as a fitness instructor. It wasn’t easy but with support and love from my FitRepublik team, I became a Level 3 Active IQ Neuro Pilates Diploma with Bodyhack.

I truthfully lacked the confidence to walk onto the gym floor and use the equipment! Danny, my personal training specialist, was such an amazing help. He designed a workout regimen to combat osteoporosis, loss of fitness, body image and much more. I fell in love with strength training again because of his encouragement. He also pushed me to study the Active IQ Level 3 Personal Trainers, which I attained, through Bodyhack, in May 2017.

There was no stopping after that. I’m proud and happy to say that I’m certified in Pilates Reformer, Functional Range Conditioning, Active Isolated Stretch, Pre-& Post Natal fitness, Injuries and Special Populations and Level 1 Perfect Form Dance Physio and Conditioning. I’m also studying for my Level 3 Active IQ Tutor and Assessor qualification and start a yearlong online Nutrition course, in March, with MNU in the UK. That’s not all! My strength and conditioning journey will begin in April with the UKSCA.

I’ve also taken the leap into adult gymnastics with a FitRepublik Basic + 1 membership. I would never have had the confidence to do this without help from my PT sessions.
