At Cosmo, we’re all starting to feel a bit bored when we scroll our Instagram feeds. The questionably frequent jet-setting, obvious Photoshop, and of course, the duck-pout selfies are filling our feed on the daily and we’re so over it. So, we thought it would be a great idea to make a list of women who are killing it on the gram by radiating positivity and confidence. Check out our top seven (we just thought that was slick number) positive Instagram personalities here:
1. Chessie King @Chessiekingg
When she’s not running her multiple startups, Chessie is shaking her way to body positivity. This chick has us smiling every time she shakes her fab bod for us and is a constant reminder to love what we’ve got, be happy now, and stop caring what random people may think about us.
2. Lucy Mountain @Lucymountain
UK based Lucy is all about being who you are and loving it. We find her posts absolutely hilarious and completely relatable. Lucy is not afraid to be honest where it counts and we’re loving her for it.
3. Huda Kattan @Huda
Starting off as a make-up artist for Revlon, Huda is now the founder of an international beauty empire and a reminder that we’re all uniquely diverse women and can be mothers, wives, sisters, entrepreneurs, and ultra-powerful all at the same time.
4. Ameni Esseibi @Ameniesseibi
She may have been our June cover girl, but when it comes to Ameni, we swear we’re not biased. Based in Dubai, Ameni’s account focuses on self-confidence and body positivity. Scroll her feed to feel inspired by her accomplishments and positive views towards changing how we feel about ourselves.
5. Kim Kaupe @Kimkaupe
Kim making it into Forbes’ 30 under 30 list for her amazing entrepreneurial work is no surprise to us when we look through her IG feed. This living legend is dedicating a major portion of her work to giving other women the skills to succeed and establish their careers. Follow her account for frequent confidence building tips and super helpful career advice.
6. Nikita Phulwani @Niggiphulwani
Bullied about her plus-sized figure when she was younger, Nikita started her IG account in 2016. As she started putting herself out there, feedback from other women who felt her struggle started to DM her and the rest is history. Nikita’s account grew and has become a platform for empowering women (with style). She’s so humbled by the support she’s received from her followers and told us:
“It’s so rewarding and in-turn empowered me; it has given me the confidence to experiment with fashion even further… there is so much joy in knowing how we can connect with each other just by being who we are- curves and all.”
7. LuAnne Dsouza @Weeshasworld
Body positivity and fashion collide with our fav curly haired gal on IG. LuAnne is slaying at proving beauty has no size and doing it with style.
