Cosmo ME: Can you tell us about Lanolip’s Fruities launch? We love the name.
Kirsten Carriol: We took our classic 101 Ointment formula and infused it with natural fruit extracts and natural flavours.
Each one has its own little personality. Coconut is creamy and cosy. It gives a very ~beach holiday at 2 PM~ vibe. Strawberry is juicy and bright, like the first bite of actual fruit.
Peach has this soft, velvety warmth from the peach kernel oil, and watermelon is the freshest of the bunch thanks to watermelon seed oil.
They all feel like tiny mood boosts, depending on the day you’re having.
Cosmo ME: Which one is your personal favorite?
Kirsten Carriol: Coconut. It’s comforting, soft, and it literally smells like summer. Strawberry is a close second because it’s juicy and a bit zingy.
Cosmo ME: What inspired you to add Fruities to the 101 family?
Kirsten Carriol: The original 101 is medical-grade lanolin with no color or fragrance. I do know though that many women want something fun and sensorial.
Fruities bring that joy while keeping the same serious hydration benefits. They smell amazing because they sit right under your nose, and they come in a smaller tube with a smart applicator for easier use.

Kirsten Carriol: Absolutely. They’re incredibly safe for post-treatment lips because they soothe, heal, and bring life back to irritated or bruised skin.

Cosmo ME: What’s been the reaction from the GCC girlies?
Kirsten Carriol: They love it. Some don’t know what’s in it. They just know it works and feels amazing. Others really care about clean ingredients and transparency, and we tick those boxes too.
Gen Z has also discovered us through TikTok, while many grew up with their mums buying them Lanolips.
Cosmo ME: Is Lanolips something you recommend for flying?
Kirsten Carriol: Oh, it was practically made for flying. The idea for Lanolips actually came to me on a long-haul flight to Australia.
Everything dries out on airplanes, especially lips and nasal passages. I use 101 inside my nose and around it to prevent the mucous membrane from drying out. It keeps everything protected and hydrated mid-air.
Cosmo ME: What’s another 101 hack that works especially well in the Middle East?
Kirsten Carriol: Toes and heels! If you’re wearing open shoes and haven’t had a pedicure, swipe 101 over your toes and heels.
