Huda Beauty’s latest eyeshadow palette release, Naughty, has the internet divided – and for one reason in particular. The shade Slippery (bottom left) has been likened to everything from the Covid-19 emoji to triggering trypophobia.

In true Huda Kattan style, the beauty entrepreneur took to social media to address everyone’s questions.

First and foremost, the former Cosmo cover star says, the product is actually a hybrid formula, and doubles up as a lip-gloss as well as an eyeshadow to create a wet-look lid. “The gloss takes over the entire shade,” she says. “It’s a texture that can be used across your entire face: your lids, your cheekbones, your lips, and your nose.”

“The pearls and droplets enhance the wetness. It creates a really sexy sheen. It’s so sultry,” she explains whilst giving a mini demo of how the products work.

Huda also explained that the reason the Slippery shade looks different in eye palette is because the peals are literally dropped into the casing, and then “encapsulated” by the gloss, making every single product one-of-a-kind.
