Shirley Conlon Organics
Shirley Conlon Organics was founded by beauty guru Shirley Conlon. She aspired to create effective, functional, clean skincare products that were lightweight, easily absorbed, chemical-free and contained no photo-toxic additives – products that would actually make a difference to her skin. So Shirley decided to take a leap of faith 14 years ago and launched a skincare line that aligned with her vision. She has not looked back since; her skincare line entails certified organic ingredients that are from fair trade and sustainable sources, incorporated with many local ingredients.

This Dubai-based brand, launched in September 2020 by Amy Hanbury, is a clean, luxurious and ultra-luxurious brand made with vegan raw material. More specifically, the brushes are made of three vegan hair types, each engineered to work with specific textures and formulas. odist’s ethos is foregrounded in its ethicality and quality, both of which are of the first order. The brand proves its merit through the fact that it offers a two-year warranty with its brushes – I mean, how cool is that?

After suffering from severe acne, the founder of Liht Organics, Nerissa Low, launched a brand for people to enjoy quality products and long-lasting coverage without compromising on their health. Nerissa’s brand is made of USDA-certified organic ingredients, is vegan, gluten-free, cruelty-free and contains no nanoparticles, parabens and harmful chemicals.

The *best* lash place in Dubai, literally. Founded by Noora Saeed and Sally Al-Khatib, the entrepreneurs made the company a cult beauty brand. Canadian girlfriends Priya Judge-Oberoi and Gayathri Sagar launched a makeup line that was dedicated to Dubai. The brand was foregrounded with the purpose that one’s individuality and authenticity should be celebrated. Their bold, seductive lip colours are named after iconic locations in Dubai such as The Burj and La Mer – which we live for. The cherry on the cake is that their lipsticks are cruelty-free!
