If you were born anytime between April 20 and May 20, then surely you’ve heard the standard Taurus shtick. “They’re stubborn!” “They’re lazy!” “They have strong opinions about their food!” But let it be known that there is so much more that makes up this springtime earth sign. Along with their strong morals, Tauruses, and those with Taurean placements, have an incredible understanding of loyalty as well as a keen eye for the finer things in life. This makes sense, because they are ruled by the planet Venus, aka the leader of all things beauty and pleasure. Tauruses have a sophisticated and informed sense of style, even though they might not get as much credit for it as their fellow Venus-ruled sign, Libra.

Tauruses make for incredible friends, since these folks also know exactly how to pamper themselves and the people around them. Fair warning though: These are not the people you want to go against. Arguing with a Taurus can be a little bit like yelling at a brick wall. You’ve just gotta let them understand a different perspective on their own time.

This sign’s modality is fixed, which is probably to blame for Taurus’s stubborn reputation. *But* being a fixed sign also means they are dependable and patient and have a strong work ethic when it comes to the things they’re passionate about.
