Check out our exclusive interview with Nora and Khalid below:
Cosmo ME: What was your first-ever viral video?
Nora: Our first-ever viral video was a challenge-based game and it got 1.5 million views overnight. Khalid saw it first and called me at 7 am, he was so nervous. But that video changed our lives, and that’s when we decided that we were going to be TikTokers.
C: What would you say is your biggest secret to blowing up on TikTok that you’ve not shared with anyone?
N: So the TikTok strategy is easy: Four videos per day for one year and you’re hitting a million followers.
K: Yes, there’s also a technique that Nora uses. Once you post a video, you get out of TikTok for one hour. But don’t forget to like your video first.
N: TikTok’s main strategy is to keep you in the app as much as possible. So when you don’t open it, they’ll promote your video more and send you notifications to get you back in the app.

C: This is a question a lot of viewers have, but would you say your videos are staged?
K: It’s not staged, but Nora tells me if I have to get ready for a video. I’m aware that she’ll be filming, but what I don’t know is what we’re filming and if she’s going to play any pranks on me. So my reactions are definitely genuine.

C: Speaking of your relationship, you’ve shared that you instantly knew that you were going to get married. Could you tell us more about that?
K: We had our very first date in Dubai Safari. And I think when I saw her, she was so honest and open about her life, which I loved. That’s when I knew.
N: For me, I knew I wanted to be with him because he was a true gentleman. It’s a feeling I can’t describe, I just knew I wanted to be with him. There’s no doubt, no confusion, you just know.
😭😭😭
C: Being open about your relationship on social media means also receiving negative comments. Does it ever affect your relationship?
K: Nora always encourages me to ignore the comments. She’s always told me that it’s going to push me to be better.
N: People’s comments are always a projection of who they are and what they truly feel, so it doesn’t affect me. They are triggered by something that they see in themselves or miss in themselves, or they want to have. I don’t know, but I never take any comment personally.
C: Can you give us an example of a comment you’ve received?
K: Until the wedding, everyone was one hundred percent sure that we were living together, and we weren’t. So we used to receive a lot of hate about that. But we love it when other followers comment in support of us, it’s very sweet.

C: Do you have any messages you’d like to share with the Cosmo readers?
N and K: We love you guys, we really do. You’ve helped us reach where we are. And whenever you see us walking around, don’t be afraid to talk. We love taking pictures and getting to know you. We want you to get to know us not just from across a screen, we want you to know that we’re funny in real life also LOL.
C: Our last question to you is, what is your number one tip on making TikTok your full-time job?
N: I think it’s to be dedicated, and disciplined. People always think it’s that easy, and it is easy if you just follow the path and stick to it. It works every day, bit by bit, and then you’re going to reach your goal. And the important thing is to be yourself. Don’t force it.
