Love Island’s Jacques O’Neill has officially left the villa, ITV have revealed today [12 July].
Just days after new bombshell Adam Collard arrived on the show, Jacques, who is currently coupled up with Paige Thorne, left the villa. A statement released by the channel read:
“Jacques has made the decision to leave the Villa. He will explain his reasons to the Islanders during tonight’s episode. We fully support his decision and look forward to seeing what’s next for Jacques.”
It is not known why the 23-year-old from Cumbria has decided to leave the show, but fans have been speculating that it might have something to do with the teaser for tonight’s episode.
In it, Gemma tells Jacques that Adam had been talking about him, saying, “Oh he was proper slagging you off.” Jacques then storms over to Paige to ask, “Has Adam been slagging me off?”
He later shouts, “Who is he?! Just another geezer that’s been on this show, he’s nothing mate!”
Earlier this week, Jacques’ family responded to the backlash he received after his Casa Amor antics with an Instagram post which read: “Jacques was diagnosed with ADHD when he was 9 years old. By no means is this a get out clause for his actions but it is to show that he can fundamentally struggle with his emotions at times.”

Judging by ITV’s statement, fans can assume they’ll get to see the moment Jacques announces his exit from the villa this evening.
