Last night, terrifying and heart-breaking scenes from an explosion in Lebanon’s capital circulated on the internet. The explosion have left many injured and missing; it has been reported that the blast was felt in Cyprus, 145 miles away.

As many Lebanese celebrities began sharing an outpour of messages, raising awareness about the incident and encouraging people to donate blood, there was one name notably missing from the social media discourse: Nadine Njeim.

Nadine’s family member, Rima Njeim, took to Twitter to share updates about Nadine, writing that she was injured during the attack and is recovering after a six hour surgery.

She has been met with a wave of tweets and tags on Instagram from fans asking if she is okay and wishing her a speedy recovery.

“To everyone who asks me about Nadine Nassib Najim, she was hurt by the blast. She underwent a long surgery that lasted 6 hours.”
