When a treatment is literally called “The Oily Skin Facial” you have my immediate attention!
When it comes to skincare ailments, giant pores are my arch nemesis. And with giant pores comes a whole host of other issues: excess sebum (aka ridiculously oily skin), which, in turn, leads to congested skin and blackheads. There are no amount of exfoliators, Biore nose strips, or oil-free foundations on this earth that can stop my pores from clogging up, so the best thing I do to minimize the little buggers: extractions.
Extractions are my favourite and most effective facial, and last month I discovered what I now believe to be one of the best treatments I’ve ever had in my life at The Spa / Nail Shop, Riyadh. Founded by Saudi national Mashael Al Dubaie, this luxury wellness boutique is truly a one-stop-shop kinda place. There’s a whole bunch of treatments you can try out, but what I really want to shout from the rooftops about is The Oily Skin Facial – which I’m pretty sure was designed for me.

Offering deep cleansing with exfoliation, toning, deep cleansing masks, and an explosion of hydration, this facial helps remove excess oils, minimise the pores and makes the skin soft and clear. We began with a full extraction before moving on to using what felt like every lotion and potion in the spa. I came out looking pretty red and blotchy (who wouldn’t went you’ve had quite literally every pore on the surface of your skin extracted), but a couple of days later I can’t tell you how many people said I was glowing.
This was a real results-driven treatment where good quality products meet thorough facial techniques. The result? My skin looking the most plump, smooth, and radiant it ever has.
