Instagram and Pinterest have been going crazy for the effect for a couple of months, and it’s the only nail trend named in the Pinterest 100 for 2017. Even the A-list are obsessed with chrome, Gigi Hadid went for a silver look, worth a reported Dhs7,200, for the Met Gala. 

The effect is applied with a powder on top of a gel polish, giving you a long lasting shine.

And it comes in a rainbow of colours, from gold to silver, to blue and pink.
