Apple has just released a whole load of new emojis with the iOS 10.2 update, and they’re making it easier than ever to communicate sans having to type actual words. It’s clear that they’ve really listened to us, too. Among the latest additions, there’s the much-requested avocado, face-palm, a drooling face (because, food) and a black heart that basically sums up 2016.
It’s that black heart that’s really stirred up conversation. Emojipedia says the new icon is: “A heart shaded completely black. May be used to express morbidity, sorrow, or a form of dark humour.”
However, the Internet is feeling zero sorrow about its appearance on their phones, and many have taken to Twitter to rejoice. Shout out to these happy people…
