Saudi fashion needs no introduction. The Kingdom is known for its ultra-glam, fashionable crowd, so introducing the inaugural Fashion Awards, it seems, was just a matter of time.
As the Kingdom’s fashion scene hit new highs, Saudi Arabia hosted its very first Fashion Awards on June 6, 2024, marking a major milestone in the country’s fashion journey.
The glitzy event, orchestrated by Chalhoub Group and the Saudi Fashion Commission, was a dazzling showcase of creativity and innovation, held at the ritzy King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh.
From honoring standout contributors to rolling out the star-studded red carpet and treating guests to a gourmet feast, the Fashion Awards raised the bar for Saudi’s style game. Amidst the glamour, the event also paid homage to the Kingdom’s rich cultural heritage, spotlighting its creative flair and diversity.
By shining a spotlight on Saudi talent, this prestigious bash isn’t just about flashy outfits—it’s about forging connections and pushing boundaries in the fashion world. As Burak Çakmak, CEO of the Fashion Commission, put it,
“Fashion awards are a way to recognise the highest achievers in each category, document all the key achievements in a fresh format, and start a tradition where, in 50 years, hopefully designers and brands will look back and see how far they’ve come”.
