You’d be lying to yourself if you said that you don’t indulge in some cheeky street food every now and then. This is a safe space, there’s no judgement here. We’re all massive foodies so, we know street food is one delicacy we just can’t ever resist.
And this new one from Deira City Centre, is one that we love.
Fittingly called INDOORS, the festival which takes place daily from 10am to midnight, will feature 16 unique street food stalls. All of which, will offer a taste from across the globe. We’re talking delicious dishes from India, Italy and more!
The fact that the festival is indoors, is a nice added bonus. It’s also quite pretty so, plus points for that too.
Here’s the low down on some of the venues taking part…
1) ROUX
The urban eatery specialises in moreish dishes such as mac ‘n’ cheese burgers, masala fries, cookies, mocktails and more. All of the ingredients are locally sourced and it’s fairly priced too.
2) Koshari Point
This haunt helmed by two young Emirati entrepreneurs will have you buying seconds of their signature Koshari offering, which is a tangy dish made of silky rice, pasta and lentils and topped with a rich tomato sauce. Yum!
3) Bulba
Bubble tea in bulb shaped containers that actually light up? We’re in! These Instagram worthy tapioca milk tea and fruity concoctions are the quirky venue’s specialty and, they are sure to please you and your followers.
4) Wheel35
Watch as your pasta is given the cheesiest treatment as it’s swirled around in a massive Parmesan Cheese Wheel with their signature Truffle and Porcini or White Cream Sauce. We love.
5) Frings
Frings equals fries and wings. Who would have thought? Indulge in the goodness that is their Smokin’ Texas BBQ and their New Yorker Buffalo, Sizzlin’ California Sriracha – trust us, it’s worth the calories and you’ll want so much more. Ps. their chicken wings and cheesy fries are going to be your new comfort food #justsaying.
6) Filli Café
Nothing beats a hot cup of karak chai and, Filli Café is one place that does it better than the rest. The UAE based café’s pop-up at INDOORS will serve their infamous zaafran tea and karak chai as well as a selection of yummy munchies to go with it.
If you’re not much of a foodie (how is that even possible), you’d be happy to note that there will be live entertainment, games and tons of competitions on offer, too.
