🚨 This is not a drill. 🚨
Just as TikTok changed the trajectory of social media during the pandemic, the upcoming release of its new sister-app, TikTok Notes, is set to shake up the digital space once more.
Designed to compete Instagram, ByteDance’s latest major development is a new photo app – expanding on its existing carousel feature.
TikTok has already began testing out new photo features in the app itself, with some users able to access ‘explore’ and ‘photo’ tabs on the left side of the app’s navigation panel. The upcoming release of TikTok Notes, however, is set to be its own app entirely.

When will TikTok Notes be available in the UAE?
TikTok is already rolling out the new app on iOS and Android for limited testing in a couple of countries, including Canada and Australia.
There is no confirmation yet as to when the UAE and the rest of the world will be granted access to it, nor is there any official information on the app launch itself.
What does TikTok Notes look like?
TikTok released a statement with a glimpse into the new features of TikTok Notes, which looks like a cross between Pinterest and TikTok’s existing photo carousel feature.

The homepage also seems to be divided into two sections – a page where you can view posts from people you follow and another “For You” page, just as the original app.
You can view a teaser of the app at photos.tiktok.com.
Stay tuned as we bring you more updates.
