And since the reunion dropped on Netflix last week we are now able to find out more about what happened off-screen since the show ended filming.
We can’t get enough of Mohammad and Safa, the only pair to wed on the Middle Eastern version of the romance series and luckily for us they’ve done their first-ever joint interview and shared new insights into their relationship.
The pair appeared on the Hikmat Wehbi Podcast and did not hold back as they delved into life as Mr and Mrs.

Safa revealed why she didn’t choose Karim
Opening up on how she had two connections in the pods and torn between two men, Safa told Hikmat: “It was honestly easy to choose Mohammed. Though yes, there were days when it would shift between them. Some days Mohammed was number 1, other days it would be Karim. I felt that Karim was uncertain about what he wanted. I connected with Karim very well mentally, but he didn’t make me feel that he was sure about me.”
Safa admitted she is jealous of Mohammed’s past relationships
Sharing on finding it hard to hear about Mohammed’s former gfs, Safa said: “I thought I wasn’t a jealous person, but hearing the stories… He would tell me stories, up to the point I said I didn’t want to hear anything anymore.”
Safa further mentioned her jealousy was a little bit strong as she told: “Sometimes it did bother me hearing it.”
Safa shared that she wants a second wedding
During the interview, Safa revealed that a wedding 2.0 is coming
She said: “Inshallah, we’ll have another wedding. The wedding is all about family and friends, but it was super limited. It’s important for me because of memories.”
Mohammed bravely opened up about his mental health battles
Speaking candidly, Mohammed opened up by saying: “To keep it short, I’ve been through some crazy stuff in my life that I never expected. This topic is really sensitive, especially in our society. It’s like, if you’re a guy, you feel it a lot. Sadly, this topic is still not something people are cool discussing. So, if you’re one of those people who thinks, ‘Just tough it out; you’re a man’ – that’s not okay.
“Seriously, you need to get help when you need it. I’ve had my own issues; it’s a long story. It got to the point where it was affecting me physically—I was really worn out. I even had symptoms like a heart attack, but in the end, thank God, I’m okay now.”
Mohammed shared how they move through arguments
Giving insight into their relationship Mohammed said: “We are moving in a healthy way. Every single thing we go through, so that it doesn’t happen again, we solve it.”
“Because we always have a good time, she’s my best friend, she’s my wife. So we’re at a point where we just say: let’s get over it and we do.”
