We’re obsessed girlies. There’s so much going on, so we need to have a sitdown because we genuinely need to unpack so much. Why? Because the it-couple Dounia and Chafic dropped some major tea.
Since their appearance at the reunion episode, it’s been nothing short of a whirlwind for the couple (now fiancés, Mabrook btw!). There have been so many hidden truths being revealed since the release of Love is Blind, Habibi, and we can’t get enough.
Dounia and Chafic recently appeared on the infamous Hikmat Wehbi Podcast, and just like every borderline Gen Z and Millenial, they made sure to drop some major truth bombs.
Want in on the tea? Here’s everything we learned about the Love Is Blind Habibi couple.
The *real* reason Chafic and Simo had a fallout

Remember the episode when Chafic and Simo had a full-blown fight? Well, Chafic finally clarified what *really* went on. He said, “When we all gathered and I saw Nour, I went to Simo to say that ‘I know this girl.’ He asked me if I knew her personally, and I said we just exchanged like two to three messages and that’s it. We’ve never even met outside or anything. But he went to Duonia to tell her about it. So I was instantly backstabbed. Dounia came to me for an explanation and I told her everything, she immediately understood the situation. But that wasn’t what triggered me. He said something about my mom in French, so I went crazy. I never resort [physically], but at that time I was disappointed when I heard something about my mother. So, I couldn’t control myself. But if it ever happens again, I’d never act like that again, because truthfully Simo is actually really nice guy. What happened honestly was a mistake.”
Uhm, there were some thinly veiled digs at Nour

Quoting back what he said in the reunion episode, he mentioned that there were a lot of moments that made him question her personality. Even quoting Nour’s “I’m looking for a goldfish,” from Episode 5 of the series. He agreed that his friend, Mido, and Nour didn’t have the best personality balance, “Yeah they have different lifestyles,” he said to Hikmat. “She tried to judge Mido with what he has. For what? You’ve come to find an ATM machine. But I went to Nour and said I totally agree that the man should provide because I grew up that way too.”
Speaking candidly, Dounia opened up too: “People keep telling me, ‘Why are you coming at her when she wasn’t even your friend?’, but let me tell you something. We were friends. Do you want to know something else? Nour is actually a genuine person. She’s a very nice girl, but as soon as the camera is switched on, the button is on as well. Mido is a sweet person. People need to put themselves in his shoes.”
Dounia shares a wedding moment we didn’t get to see

Wedding woes are so true. Dounia revealed that there was a funny moment that didn’t get aired: “A funny thing I want to say, is that before entering the wedding place, I kept saying to production, ‘Like, oh my God, I’m so scared of falling’, and literally as soon as I entered I fell! In front of everybody! But they cut that part out. Chafic was holding me the whole time, helping me to get to the altar. It was such a stressful day.”
Dounia and Chafic shares their experience with the backlash

After facing severe backlash from fans and non-fans, the couple opened up about how they coped up. Chafic said: “Why do I not react on social media? Because it doesn’t affect me. People will always keep talking badly about me, but I have the most important people around me. Dounia, and my family.”
Speaking on the same, Dounia mentioned: “We’ve had our share of backlash. Some people even said to me that I’m not a girl’s girl. And I would just like to say there’s a huge difference between being a girl’s girl and standing for your truth — and that’s something really important to me. So, I always call for that, and encourage all the women to do that too.”
