Let’s be honest, all of us wish to wake up one morning and discover an acceptance letter from Hogwarts, lying at our doorstep. Well stop wishing, ’cause now you can totally live all those fabulous Hogwarts moments, within a few clicks. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment added a whole lotta joy into our lives on April 25, by launching the brand new mobile game, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. And as usual… my phone din’t have enough space! Umm well… so I ended up un-installing LinkedIn and Pintrest because PRIORITIES… duh!

Firstly, please don’t confuse this with the AR game Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, who’s release dates aren’t out yet. However if you love role-play games, you’ll find this fun.
Secondly, incase you’re hoping to bump into the most happening trinity, AKA Harry, Hermoine and Ron, whilst walking past those magical corridors… then let me break this to you, that the timeline of this game dates back to when Harry was JUST born. *Sobs* – hence none of our favourite students from Hogwarts will be making any cameos. But off course you’ll be meeting their fabulous mentors like Albus Dumbledore, Headmistress McGonagall, Filius Flitwick, Hagrid and umm… don’t forget to watch out for Severus Snape!
So once you’ve downloaded the app, you can customise your character and give him/her a cool name. And then comes the most exciting part! Your Hogwarts ACCEPTANCE letter.
Obviously with your name on it, signed and approved by Headmistress McGonagall. *Gets Super Excited*
Alright so coming back, you get to pick your house. Does that hat ever get to decide?!
Coming to the most important detail of the game, that players have found to be slightly dissapointing. Since the one thing that governs the entire game is ENERGY, which seems very scarce. Off course you can find it while walking around Hogwarts or pay gems and get it easy, but it still won’t be enough especially when you require it to complete EVERY task.
