Last night, YouTube launched two new services in the region – YouTube Music, aka Google’s answer to Spotify, as well as YouTube Premium, aka no ads on vids, thanks.Â
The launch means that we’ll be able to use YouTube to stream music, and one handy feature – you’ll be able to type in just a few words from a song, and YouTube will figure out which song you mean – handy!
YouTube Premium will mean that you can stream videos on the platform without ads coming up on the videos, and you can close the app but keep the videos playing. You’ll also be able to download videos to watch when you’re offline.Â
YouTube Music subscriptions start at Dhs19.99 and YouTube Premium at Dhs23.99. Â
