Spending all day at the beach, sipping on drinks, reading a book and occasionally taking a dip in the sea – it’s basically peak happiness, right?

But all that euphoria you’ve experienced lounging around makes you crash down to earth when it comes to leaving the beach and putting your crusty, sandy feet inside your sandals.

Oh the uncomfortable, agonising, teeth-grindingly horrific feeling of having sandy feet inside your shoes. We’re cringing just thinking about it. No amount of towelling them off, quickly dipping them in the sea, putting on your flip flops and walking the slowest you’ve ever walked so as not to get them sandy again has ever really worked.

But this one hack promises to banish your woes forever.

It was originally designed by parents on Mumsnet as a quick way to dry their kids feet and remove the sand, but we’re just as needy as those five-year-olds and want in on the no-sand hack too.

All you have to do to live a sandy-feet-free life is to apply a large dose of talcum powder to your feet when you’re ready to leave the beach. Rub it in, until the powder begins to soak up the moisture, meaning a quick rub of the towel will remove any pesky sand clinging on.
