Whether she’s dominating your social feeds or setting the mood with her latest track, chances are Nada Nader is already living rent-free on your radar. The Cairo-born multi-hyphenate seems to master every creative space she touches – blending effortless style and a refreshingly bold persona.

Having just released her debut single ‘KHLSANASLN,’ serving up an energetic, unbothered anthem that delivers the ultimate final word on setting boundaries, Nada spills the karak with Cosmo ME about her latest track.

Cosmo ME: For those who may not know yet, who is Nada Nader?

Nada: I’m an Egyptian multidisciplinary artist. I do more than one thing: I sing, I write my own songs, and I also act and direct.

Cosmo ME: What is ‘KHLSANASLN‘ about?

Nada:KHLSANASLN‘ is about reaching a point in life where you’re completely done with certain people and situations. It talks about feeling drained – really drained – from everything I’ve been dealing with in both my work and my love life.

Cosmo ME: Tell us your favourite line from ‘KHLSANASLN‘.

Nada: My favorite line would be “مش عشان بابان طريقة تفضل بطريقة خلصت البطريقة؟ مهين خلصانا أصل خلصانا أصل”

Cosmo ME: What made you want to bring Shaabi into the sound, and what does that genre mean to you?

Nada: Shaabi has always been one of the most vibrant and expressive genres in Egypt, and I’ve always had so much love, respect and admiration for it and its unique ability to bring people together and make them feel something instantly, and for me something about this track really needed to be addressed this way. I’ve even been kind of known on TikTok for my videos that have been done over Shaabi music and Mahraganat music, and I’m really excited to finally have my own Shaabi track, and I hope people love it as much as I do.

Cosmo ME: If ‘KHLSANASLN‘ was an emoji, what would it be and why?

Nada: It’s this one 😏 because it’s like, ‘KHLSANASLN’ bro, ‘KHLSANASLN’.

Cosmo ME:If you had to describe the song in 3 words, what would they be?

Nada: In three words… I would say it’s bold, honest, and energetic.

Cosmo ME: What’s next for Nada Nader? Any hints on any upcoming projects?

Nada: I’m working on an EP that will be released at the end of this year, and before that I might be releasing another single – so fingers crossed!
