Muslim women have been taking over every platform possible– whether it’s TikTok, television, podcasts, and more. Muslim women are thriving. A start-up highlighting and uniting Muslim women, The Digital Sisterhood ‘highlights the importance of cultivating their own spaces, creating their own content, and being authors of their own stories.’
They’ve even got a digital storytelling podcast that exists to “unite women of color and counter the pre-existing narrative on what it means to be a Muslim woman.” TDS has already crossed over 5.8 million downloads and has listeners in 65+ countries.
Not to mention that the podcast has also ranked as #1 in the Self-improvement Category in the US, UK, and Australia.
But, The Digital Sisterhood isn’t *just* a podcast. The group of girls chose to spread their message even further through video content and writing. “A lot of people love to doubt Muslims, especially Muslim women of color. So we said, forget their stage! we’re going to build our own stage,” says Cadar, the host of TDS’ successful podcast.
