Rove Hotels further extends the blessings of Ramadan by donating surplus food to the UAE Food Bank and composting any remaining items, aligning with their sustainability guidelines. Available throughout Ramadan, this initiative promotes conscious consumption and community support while offering an Iftar experience priced at Dhs99 per person.

Shein Threads of Joy

SHEIN collaborates with upcycling movement Kiswa for their Threads of Joy initiative, aimed at providing new clothes for those in need during Ramadan, as part of the company’s #SHEINcares social impact movement. The initiative encourages customers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain to contribute unwanted SHEIN clothes via a convenient pick-up service organized by Kiswa. Kiswa will sell the items and recycle materials to fund new clothing for the less fortunate, distributed with the help of local NGOs.

Optimum Nutrition to Distribute 1,000 Iftar Boxes in Dubai in Partnership with Beit Al Khair Society

Optimum Nutrition, the leading sports nutrition brand, in collaboration with Glanbia Performance Nutrition, partners with renowned charity Bait Al Khair Society to distribute 1,000 Iftar boxes to blue-collar workers in Dubai. This initiative highlights a strong sense of solidarity within the community, with Optimum Nutrition employees volunteering to personally deliver the Iftar boxes.

Deliveroo Performs Social Experiment to Inspire Community Support

Deliveroo conducted an interactive social experiment titled “The Unmissable 50 Fils” in City Walk Dubai, utilizing a holographic installation to spotlight the profound impact of small contributions in addressing food insecurity. Passersby were given the choice to keep a nominal 50 fils coin or donate it to support those in need.

This experiment demonstrated Deliveroo’s in-app round-up feature, enabling customers to easily contribute to charitable causes. In 2023, Deliveroo’s round-up feature facilitated over Dhs1 million in donations, benefiting communities through its partnership with Emirates Red Crescent.
