Short-form video platform TikTok was right there with Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2020 and Masdar.
TikTok, boasting millions of users, is honestly one of the go-to platforms for raising awareness on social responsibility causes. The TikTok challenge challenegd content creators to pledge their own sustainability commitment for a greener and more sustainable future by using the #WeAreCommitted hashtag.
Launched on January 15, the three-day festival encouraged UAE residents to live sustainably and educate youth through workshops and live entertainment. Key content creators in the UAE, including Khalid and Salama Al Ameri, Marwan Al Oteibi and Sarah Milad shared their videos.
The one week event saw how the global community can accelerate sustainable development through taking advantage of technology and developing new skills.
