We all fantasise about our favourite shows coming to life, and Squid Game (as deadly as it is) is the perf example. With many, many countries creating renditions of Squid Game for people to participate in, we have yet to see an *actual* IRL version.

But don’t fret, as per usual, Netflix has *always* got us covered. Whether its corny romantic comedies or deadly TV series coming to life, Netflix saves the day. So, a Squid Game-inspired reality series was bound to happen.

This news came days after Netflix announced a second season of the show coming to life via the official Squid Game’s Instagram page.

Of course, the reality game show won’t be as dark as the Korean show, but one thing we know for sure: the winner will walk away with a large sum of money.

Like the show, the challenge will include 456 participants that will go through a number of obstacles and challenges to win a $4.56 million award.

Here’s what you need to know about Squid Game: The Challenge

Important things to know if you want to become a participant are that you have to be at least 21 years old, have a valid passport, be available for a 4-week filming period during early 2023, AND speak English fluently. If you fall under this criteria, you’ve got to film a one-minute video introducing yourself with a clear outline on your game plan.
