It’s 2025 and the latest fad is quantum leaping. The internet is saturated with young people sharing their “quantum leaping” experiences, from using water to manifest their dream lives to self development hot takes

“Quantum leaping is the process of aligning with a higher frequency version of yourself, a future timeline already available in the quantum field,” says Dr. Ljudmila Vukosavljevic, an educator at Al Das Longevity Clinic and expert in acupuncture and bioresonance (a therapy to treat diseases through electromagnetic waves). “Manifestation becomes effective when the mind, heart, and energetic field are in resonance with your intention. This alignment allows you to shift from possibility into physical reality — not by force, but by frequency.”

For Vishakha Mallya, a South Asian Engineer and Content Creator, she pivoted careers by quantum leaping. Although she was an opera prodigy, she had an intense desire to penetrate the tech industry. In two years, she quantum leaped with intention, prayer, and an un-resolving will to a top tech venture capital startup. “Whether you call it quantum leaping, tricking your brain or unlocking your full potential, believing in your ability to shape your reality, and change your life is a blessing of human nature and much easier than you think,” shares Vishakha.

What are cultural ties to quantum leaping?

The moment of alignment also requires surrendering the ego, according to Sana Jaffery, a Pakistani Art Director and Graphic Designer with top clients like Pinterest and Kotn. For her, quantum leaping happens in cycles and is always rooted in a pursuit of growth. Her most recent leap came after being laid off from what she thought was her dream job. The loss shook her deeply. But in choosing not to cling to the old version of herself, she re-rooted into her heritage, faith, and the kind of creative work that aligned with her values. That letting go opened doors she never expected, introducing her to people, clarity, and purpose that once felt far away. Her leap wasn’t just professional, it was a spiritual reorientation.

What is the theory behind quantum leaping?

Our health is a direct reflection of our energy, according to Dr. Vukosavljevic. Energetic medicine like bioresonance identifies imbalances in the body’s frequency field and helps restore harmony before symptoms manifest. Every thought, emotion, and belief has its own vibration, which can either support or disrupt our well-being. When energy flows freely through the body-mind system, we create the conditions for natural healing and vitality.

Activating your healthier self requires a multidimensional approach, blending mindset work, gut healing, and energetic alignment, says Dr.Vukosavljevic. Bioresonance helps clear blockages and rebalances the body’s frequency field, while nutrition and emotional release support the gut-brain connection. The gut is deeply connected to the brain and nervous system, but it’s also an energetic center, influencing our overall frequency. Conventional tools like medical testing, targeted supplementation, and clinical diagnostics offer valuable insights to personalise and accelerate the healing process. Dr. Vukosavljevic believes through conscious mindset shifts, nutritional awareness, and bioresonance therapy, we can release stored emotional patterns and toxins that block healing.

“It’s like my soul has evolved, in a way that can’t really be measured by time,” Sana declares. “Whether it’s the South Asian practice of cleansing your home to invite in new beginnings, cooking ancestral meals that symbolise abundance, serving chai to 15 elders, fasting as a form of submission, or honouring the rituals passed down through generations, these acts aren’t just traditions. They’re portals. Each one invites you to detach from your ego, your titles, your surface-level identity, and instead float in something deeper. A state where your physical self quiets, and your soul seeks truth from something older, wiser, and those who came before you.”

What are the criticisms against quantum leaping?

Yet, quantum jumping has been widely criticised as pseudoscience, with skeptics pointing out that it misappropriates terminology from quantum physics without scientific backing. Critics argue that it promotes wishful thinking under the guise of science, often lacking empirical evidence or measurable outcomes.

Still, for many, its power lies not in provable logic, but in its ability to spark radical shifts in how we see ourselves and what we believe is possible. “It’s not something you can force, hack, or map out with a set formula,” says Sana. “It looks different for everyone. But what ties all of it together is a deep commitment to growth and a pursuit of clarity, betterment, and a version of yourself that feels more aligned spiritually, emotionally, and creatively.”
