In Monday (August 23) night’s final, we saw Millie Court and Liam Reardon crowned the winners of Love Island 2021, beating Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran, Faye Winter and Teddy Soares and Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruikshank.

Some viewers were divided over the results, with others suspecting it must have been a very close call. So, how many votes did the couples actually get?

Yesterday, ITV2 released the official voting figures for the final, and it’s safe to say that Millie and Liam won by a landslide – with over 40% of the public vote.

In fact, Milliam received 42.02% of the votes, while runners up Chloe and Toby got 30.85%. Faye and Teddy narrowly snuck into third place with 14.85% of the vote, while Kaz and Tyler came fourth with 12.27%.

During the final, Liam asked Millie to be his girlfriend and the pair even discussed moving in together after the show. ICYMI, Millie currently lives in Essex while Liam lives in Wales.

“I love where I’m from but I would like to venture off and move to somewhere new and Essex seems like the perfect place really,” Liam said.

He continued: “I know some of the boys who were in the villa we got on so well and they mentioned moving in together and they’d like to move to Essex so that’s something I would definitely be considering and that’s my plan really, moving to Essex.”

Speaking about what the timeline for Milliam would look like on the outside world, Liam revealed “Millie and I will move in together eventually.”

“We’ve been living together in the villa together for the past 7/8 weeks. We don’t want to jump into living together straight away because we don’t want to add too much pressure,” he added.

Millie responded: “We haven’t been away from each other yet to miss each other and do those things that you do in normal relationships. The one thing I want to make sure is that we still stay as strong as we are now.”

Fingers crossed we get to see an update on the couple’s journey when they return for the Love Island 2021 reunion special later this year.
