The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem, so we *must* confess: We have a severe case of ~Monday blues~. Just a couple of days ago, we jettisoned all our work-related stress in celebration of the Eid Al Adha holiday… only to abruptly snap back to reality and face our post-holiday blues. And no matter how much we try to deny it, our brains simply aren’t ~braining~. We’re physically at work, but mentally, we’re still stuck on that beach, soaking up the rejuvenating sun rays and sipping on something refreshing.
But what if we shared some positive news that would make your melancholy vanish almost immediately, in ~17 days~ to be exact? Indeed, the UAE’s next long weekend is *right* around the corner…
Cue the public holiday drumroll…
On Friday July 21, the UAE is going on a public holiday in honour of the Islamic New Year. Yes, that means another long (three-day) weekend, all to ourselves, from July 21 until July 23.
But that’s not all, Prophet Muhammad’s birthday falls on Friday, September 29. And from Friday, December 1 until Sunday, December 3, the UAE is celebrating its National Day.
All in all, the ~angels~ are granting us three additional long weekends before the end of the year, and we are absolutely *elated*.
It’s official, we’re counting down the days until Friday July 21. In the meantime…hang in there, hard-working queens !!
