Bad news, Love Island fans: Luca Bish and Gemma Owen have announced their split, after meeting in the villa this summer.
Three months after the live Love Island final, where they came runners up to Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Gemma has taken to social media to share her break up from Luca.
Writing on Instagram Stories, she said: “To all my followers, I wanted to let you know that Luca and I are no longer in a relationship. It wasn’t an easy decision but ultimately this is what is best for us both right now.
“Many of you have been on this journey with us from the very beginning and I want to thank you for your continued support as we start new chapters. Love, Gem x”
So far, Luca hasn’t commented on the break up, nor has he removed any pictures with Gem from his Instagram grid. The pair were last photographed together on the 5th November, during Fireworks Night.
Earlier this week, MailOnline sparked speculation that the pair had split, after an ‘insider’ shared they had decided to call it quits. “Gemma and Luca have decided to part ways,” the source said.
“Their relationship hasn’t worked for the last few weeks, and they have come to the conclusion that it’s better for them both to end things now. They hope to remain friends and will continue to support each other in everything they do going forward.”
