If you’re a frequenter of Twiggy or Tagomago, listen up: the creative and culinary brains who brought you some of your favourite Dubai hotspots has opened a brand-new dinner and show concept, Aretha.

Located in the St. Regis Gardens on The Palm Jumeirah, Aretha is as much a glamorous soiree as it is a delicious dinner. The restaurant, bar, lounge is inspired by the soul and funk of the ’60s and ’70s – think live music that’s an homage to the “golden age of music” with a modern twist. You’ll ease into the night with a bit of Etta James’ At Last, then as the heat turns up you can expect jazz renditions of Old Town Road, and a fiery version of Rihanna’s Wild Thoughts with a live electric guitar that will have you wanting to dance on the table.

The space imbued with retro-chic décor, with plenty of red velvet and gold accents, giving the whole evening a glam AF vibe from start to finish.

You’ll find an array of carpaccio on the menu, which we deffo recommend ordering alongside the eggplant salad, burrata and truffle pizza. For mains, you can’t go wrong with the rigatoni arrabiata, seabass, and caramelised duck breast. Leave space for dessert (obvs) because the cheesecake will live rent-free in your mind for the rest of the week.
